The project of the San Luigi Gonzaga is truly ambitious: dentistry excellence accessible to all people with performance at very high technological content. All this thanks to research and innovation.
The data to be analyzed carefully by research is that in 2012 only 25% of the population visits the dentist regularly. The remaining part is directed by the dentist only in case of acute cases. The figure in itself is already very alarming because it means that many diseases stem from a lack of prevention. As we know then, with the current economic crisis, these data have further deteriorated, with people being without income, are not eligible for dental care.
We believe that the problem of the cost of dental care is one of the main deterrents to a more continuous access to care for a large part of the population. Which would allow adequate prevention in the area.
We need to approach to oral health that 75% of the population who neglects her, offering quality and at the same time low cost. However, this can only happen through larger structures and better organized than the less professional studies.
